Allied Concrete is proud to have been recognised for excellence and leadership at the Concrete NZ Conference and Awards, celebrating achievements in both plant performance and project delivery across the country.
Plant Audit Scheme Gold Awards
Five Allied Concrete plants – Penrose, Alexandra, Nelson, Wanaka, and Timaru — received Plant Audit Scheme Gold Awards for maintaining the highest standards in quality control, safety, and environmental performance.
These awards reflect the dedication and professionalism of Allied Concrete’s local teams, who continue to meet the rigorous requirements of the Concrete NZ Plant Audit Scheme and uphold best practice in ready-mix production across New Zealand.
Producer – Extra Distance Award: Highly Commended
Allied Concrete, in partnership with Martinus, also received Highly Commended in the Producer – Extra Distance category for the Port Otago Rail Pad Replacement Project at Port Chalmers.
Supplying over 3,000 cubic metres of a bespoke 40MPa fibre-reinforced mix, Allied Concrete combined trial pours, rigorous testing, and BarChip fibre innovation to develop a high-performance concrete solution. The mix design underwent extensive laboratory testing, including flexural, shrinkage, fibre washout, and compressive strength assessments, ensuring consistency and durability under demanding conditions.
The collaboration with Martinus resulted in safer operations, labour savings, and improved efficiency, exemplifying a true extra-distance approach. The judges commended Allied Concrete’s contribution for demonstrating genuine innovation and teamwork, delivering a tailored, proven fibre-reinforced solution that enhanced both safety and performance.
These achievements recognise the outstanding commitment of Allied Concrete’s teams across New Zealand and their continued focus on quality, collaboration, and innovation in every project.
