Allied Concrete’s Wānaka team has been actively supplying concrete for the development of Cardrona Alpine Resort’s Soho Basin, set to open in Winter 2025. This expansion will add 150 hectares of new terrain, enhancing the resort’s offerings for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Central to the project is the installation of a new six-seater detachable Doppelmayr chairlift, designed to transport up to 3,000 people per hour and enhance access to this fresh terrain. The team’s dedication and hard work have been instrumental in laying the foundations for this exciting addition.
This endeavour continues Allied Concrete’s tradition of contributing to significant ski field projects, showcasing their commitment to supporting New Zealand’s recreational infrastructure. A special shoutout to Plant Manager Craig Odell and the entire Wānaka team for their outstanding efforts!
